Strawberry Jam Crumble BarsThese buttery bars, layered with Strawberry Preserve, make a great breakfast, tea-time snack or dessert.
Serves4-5
Ingredients
1) 1 cup Himalayan Haat Chunky Strawberry Preserve2) ½ cup melted butter3) 1 cup flour4) 1 cup rolled oats5) 1 tsp finely grated lime zest6) ½ tsp baking powder7) ¼ tsp salt
Method
1) Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tin with parchment paper.2) In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, baking powder, and salt.3) Add the melted butter and lime zest. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.4) Press two-thirds of the crumble mixture firmly into the base of the prepared tin.5) Spread Himalayan Haat Chunky Strawberry Preserve evenly over the base.6) Scatter the remaining crumble mixture over the top.7) Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.8) Let the bars cool in the tin for about 5 minutes.9) Lift out the parchment paper and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.10) Cut into bars or squares and serve.11) Enjoy these strawberry crumble bars warm or at room temperature with tea, coffee, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an easy dessert.
