4 Things You Need to Know About Our Products
At Himalayan Haat, we don’t make factory food. We make seasonal, small-batch products crafted from real mountain produce. Here are three things that truly set our products apart:
1️⃣ They’re Not Identical, And That’s a Good Thing
Our products are made with 100% natural ingredients. We don’t homogenise flavours, add artificial colours or use thickeners to “standardise” texture.
This means the taste, colour, and consistency may vary slightly from batch to batch - just like homemade food does.
Nature isn’t uniform. And we don’t try to make it so.
2️⃣ Fresh Mountain Ingredients
Our raw ingredients don’t travel thousands of miles or sit in cold storage for months. They’re either grown on our own farm or sourced in season from nearby mountain villages. We work with local growers, harvest at peak ripeness and transform the produce into gourmet preserves, sauces, infusions and salts right here in our farm kitchen.
Locally grown. Locally made. Seasonally crafted.
3️⃣ Handmade From Scratch
Every batch is prepared by hand in small quantities. Small-batch handcrafted food isn’t just tastier - it retains more character, texture and integrity than mass-produced, factory-made alternatives. And there’s something else. When we choose hands over heavy automation, we create meaningful work in our region. The more hands involved in making a product, the more livelihoods we can support in the mountains.
Good food should nourish more than just the person eating it.
4️⃣ We Preserve Seasons, Not Just Ingredients
Our products are made from seasonal mountain produce - not year-round industrial supply chains. By preserving fruits, herbs and vegetables at their peak, we reduce food waste and capture the best flavours of each season.
That’s why we preserve what’s abundant - and pause when it’s not.
