Why Our Logo Represents More Than a Brand

When we created the Himalayan Haat logo, we weren’t just creating a symbol for a brand. We were trying to capture the place, people, and values that have shaped this journey. We wanted it to reflect the values that sit at the heart of everything we do — honesty, craftsmanship, care and a real connection to the land.

From Our Mountain to Your Home: At its core, our logo tells the story of a farm-to-table business that is deeply rooted in place. The line From Our Mountain to Your Home captures exactly that. As a family-run jungle farm in the mountains of Pauri Garhwal, we know where our ingredients come from, how they are grown, and how they are transformed. Many of them are harvested just a few metres away from our kitchen, then cooked, bottled, and sent directly from our farm to your home.

The Hand-Sketched Mountain Peak: The mountain peak in our logo is inspired by the mountain that overlooks our farm, known locally as Ram Rana. We wanted that detail to feel personal and rooted, because this landscape is not just a backdrop to our work — it shapes everything we do. The hand-drawn style also reflects our commitment to making things by hand, with care and intention, whether that is farming, harvesting, cooking or bottling.

Typography: The soft, curved lines of the letters are inspired by the shapes of leaves, as a small ode to the forests, plants, and natural abundance that surround us. Nature is not a design reference for us — it is the centre of our life and work.

Estd 2014. That year holds a lot for us. Himalayan Haat was born in 2014, after my father passed away. That was the year the name was chosen, the Facebook page was created, and the first version of the logo came into being. At the time, we only had a few things to offer — our walnuts, dried rosemary, and my mother Indira’s pear preserve. We officially set up the business a few years later, but in many ways, Himalayan Haat has always been a continuation of my father’s life and work on this land.

He built this farm, nurtured these forests, and loved these mountains deeply. What we are doing today grows from that foundation. In that sense, our logo is not just a symbol of a business. It is also a quiet tribute to the land he cared for, to the life he built here, and to the journey we are continuing.

Every jar we make carries a little piece of this place, this journey, and that legacy forward. Thank you for being part of it. ❤️
