Our Why, Who, and What

When we started Himalayan Haat, we were not trying to build just another food brand. We were trying to respond to a very real set of problems around us — and create something meaningful from the place we call home. When we moved back to the farm, we never imagined this was where it would lead.

Why We Do This

We are from the mountains, and the mountains have incredible abundance — but they also come with real challenges.

• There are limited job opportunities here, so we try to create income opportunities for people from our mountain communities.
• There are many women in our region with limited access to flexible work opportunities, so we focus on handmade work that creates dignified, paid employment for pahadi women.
• There is limited access to markets, so we take naturally grown mountain produce and turn it into gourmet products that can be shared beyond the mountains.
• And because our forests and natural resources are under pressure, we practise regenerative forest farming — growing clean food while caring for the land so that it can continue to give to future generations.

Who We Are

We are a family-run jungle farm and farm-to-table business tucked away in the mountains of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Together with our growing team of pahadi men and women, we farm, harvest, chop, cook, bottle, pack and ship jars of mountain goodness to you. This is not a polished, distant business.

It is hands-on, seasonal, and rooted in the place we come from.

What We Make

We make gourmet products that are not only delicious but also made with care from naturally grown ingredients. From preserves and sauces to coolers, herbal blends and flavoured salts, our products bring the flavours of the mountains to your home. For us, food is not just about taste. It is about where it comes from, who makes it, and what kind of world it supports.
